The Bon Air Mountain Historical Society was one of 324 small non-profit organizations that participated in the 2018 "A Community Thrives" crowdfunding campaign. A Community Thrives empowers communities by investing in education, arts & culture, or wellness related organizations. Participating organizations gain national exposure for local issues by tapping into the power of the USA TODAY NETWORK. The USA Today Network will be giving away $600,000 in grants through its charitable foundation, The Gannett Foundation. You can Check out all of the entries to this year’s program that raised a total of $945,255 for non-profit organizations nationwide. The Tier 1, small non-profits with budgets of less than $1 million, raised a total of $623,546 for the various projects nationwide. The BAMHS was 43rd among the participating organizations in contributions raised with a total of $3,805. Grant recipients will be announced in mid-June 2018!
